GM Richard Bustillo in Chitah JKD

It was an event to remember as Iron dragon of JKD, GM Richard Bustillo, the senior most student of Sijo Bruce Lee, came to Mumbai on invitation of Chitah Yajness Shetty to inaugurate Chitah Yajness Shetty (CJKD)'s seminar & training camp in Mumbai.

Chitah Yajness Shetty is being privately trained by GM Richard Bustillo. GM Richard Bustillo, is the person who has carried on Bruce Lee's legacy. He trained Bruce Lee's son Brandon Lee and Bruce Lee's daughter Shannon Lee. He attended a two-day seminar, which was attended by 80 students who came from all across India.

Bustillo was pretty impressed as Chitah celebrated Bruce Lee's birthday, installing a 70 feet wooden statue, which was painted by 600 CJKD students in Hirandani, Powai, S M Shetty School. GM Richard Bustillo honoured Chitah with an IMB Gold Medal. He also presented a very valuable photograph of Sijo Bruce Lee with his family, which was taken just before Bruce Lee's death. That's not all. He also gave his biography, T-shirt of Bruce Lee’s action museum and his private training certificate to Chitah.

GM Richard Bustillo's Seminar praising letter
Sifu Cheetah Shetty,

I've got a word for efforts like yours - THANKS. It may be a small word, but it carries a ton of gratitude for your respect and contribution to my IMB Seminar. The nice thing about events like this is the reception, the welcome committee and hospitality and meeting new friends. The event may be temporary, but the friendships and fond memories are lasting. You are my friend until I start teaching, coaching, or training you. I will bring out your harboring coordination and strength for a perfected technique. After my teachings and coaching session you are my friend again.

My goal in IMB Academy is to preserve and perpetuate Bruce Lee's martial art legacy and to share my experiences in the IMB combative martial arts trilogy. I believe that martial art is an empty box. It remains empty unless we put in more than we take out.

I thank you and your wife for the wonderful lunches and dinners. Please inform Crishaan that I miss him and I look forward to seeing him next year. You possess my favorite combination for a successful martial arts career. You have respectful and loyal students, and your talent and skillful experiences will make you the best instructor in Bollywood.

I shared my Bollywood seminar photos with my staff and students and they were very happy that I had a wonderful time with you in Mumbai, India. They all thank you, your staff and committee very much for taking good care of me, and for your fantastic Indian hospitality.

Your Jeet Kune Do journey may be extremely difficult, but you will use this daunting challenge as opportunities. Turn these stumbling blocks into stepping-stones and do what you do best from your heart and honesty.

My purpose for this first seminar is to help you to understand Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do in the TRUE WAY, and to prepare you for the instructor's certificate. In the Spirit of Bruce Lee, Keep Safe - Keep Training/Teaching - Keep Smiling

Aloha, Richard S. Bustillo

Cheetah,

I attended Sifu Ted Wong's memorial services on Sunday and sat with Shannon Lee and Linda Lee Cadwell at the service and at dinner. Shannon Lee and Linda and I had a good conversation on Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do. I talked about you and your admiration for Bruce Lee and that you had honor Bruce Lee's 70th anniversary with your students. Shannon and Linda are delighted that you have honored Bruce Lee in India. I will talk to you more about our positive conversation when you pick me up at the airport on Feb. 10th.
